Oksana Dmitrik: Oksana was born in Kiev, Ukraine, where she began to study Violin at the age of six. She holds a Master’s degree of Violin in Performance and Teaching from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Kiev. After graduation, she became a member of the Kiev Chamber Orchestra. In 1989 the family immigrated to Canada. Since then, Oksana has performed with many Canadian groups such as the Quebec Symphony, Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Toronto Symphony among others and participates in many summer Festivals and Music Camps. She has also shared the stage with many pop artists like Rodger Hodgson, Frank Sinatra Jr., Smokey Robinson and Wayne Newton just to mention a few. She also teaches violin, both privately and at TFS – Canada’s International School. Oksana is a loving mother of two boys and is married to husband Sergei, who is a violinist with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO). Oksana is also fluent in Russian, Ukrainian, English and French.
